Hospital fire checks in Greater Manchester are being urged before staff dial 999 in a bid by the emergency service to reduce costs, and because the vast majority of alarm calls were false. Greater Manchester Fire Brigade Union spokesman Paul Fogerty said: "We've got great reservations about the policy not only around our members' safety, but also for the safety of the public we serve." Mr Fogerty said that the size of hospital buildings would make it difficult and potentially dangerous for a member of staff to establish whether there was a fire.
Time and Attendance North West's smart card and payroll software products can be integrated with fire roll call software that will automatically generate a report in the event of a fire or other emergency. In such a situation, your immediate fire roll call reports are generated containing the crucial information concerning who is on site. Unlike most other systems, this function is executed directly from the clocking stations and does not rely on the controlling PC or computer infrastructure.
