A hotel based on Liverpool's favourite music sons has been hit by fire today (Thursday). Fire crews were called to the incident on the fifth floor of the Beatles-themed Hard Days Night Hotel, North John Street, at about 1.20pm. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said four appliances and an aerial platform attended the fire at its height. The blaze is now under control and fire crews were still at the scene earlier this afternoon damping down.
A proximity read Smart Card system from Time and Attendance North West, where the badge does not need to be removed from a wallet or purse for use, involves Smart Card readers to control entry and exit. This gives better management as it can differentiate which reader was used so you know who is left in the building. This is essential for producing an accurate Fire Roll Call register. A 'break glass' unlocks the door, from the inside, in an emergency.
