Industrial unit planned in Bolton

Harworth Group plans to develop an industrial unit at Logistics North in Bolton.

The premises will be constructed by Caddick Construction and is deliberately designed to be available for a range of industries and usages.

It is hoped to be occupied from the spring of 2021. Whoever the new occupants turn out to be will be infine company; other occupants include Amazon, Aldi, Whistl, MBDA, Greene King, Costa and Komatsu.

It will be marketed by B8 Real Estate and JLL, with occupation expected to take place from the spring of 2021.

The build out is being part-funded by a £3m Evergreen loan from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

Steven Knowles, regional director for the North West at Harworth, said: “With good quality available industrial space becoming increasingly scarce across Greater Manchester, we think this is the perfect time to be bringing speculative development to the market.

“Covid-19 has accelerated the growth of e-tailing and we continue to see strong appetite for strategically located space in the market.”

Will Church, senior director of regeneration funds at CBRE, added: “Logistics North has become an exemplar development for the North West and we look forward to being part of its future success.”

Building your new premises from scratch is the perfect opportunity to install a new time and attendance system, since it enables you to control the wiring and the placements of doors and other useful factors.

Time and Attendance North West offers a contactless smartcard and biometric clocking terminal with clocking options ranging from smartcard only right up to 3 factor authentication of smartcard, PIN and biometrics. This hardware registers staff entrances and exits as they present their identification, and delivers the information to the central software in real-time. It is a quick and user-friendly process.

Our Biometric Fingerprint Reader is designed to give absolute peace of mind that the correct person was present when scanning. Once registered on the fingerprint scanner, the image of the patterns usually found on the fingertip is converted into a code through a secure algorithm, which is then stored on the time and attendance system database for future comparison and authentication.
