Time and attendance network has four different pay bands in each shift

Six thousand jobs are under threat at Lancashire County Council due to cuts, says a leading union. Paul McCarthy, GMB regional secretary in the North West, said: "Cuts of £180 million will be devastating for jobs and services provided by Lancashire County Council,” adding: "Cuts of this magnitude means that more than 6,000 jobs employed by the Council are at risk over the next three years.” The GMB had already highlighted the threat to more council jobs in Stockport.
